With an imminent English degree and a newfound fondness for British literature, Dara Powers Parker entered the publishing world as an editor and book designer in 2001. Since then, she’s been a steadfast lover of the printed page, a trait she attributes to genetics, being a first cousin of Edgar Allan Poe.
Dara, also known as Elle, is the mother of three boys and prefers to write from home (a turn-of-the-century farmhouse that is three years older than Edward Cullen). She and her family live in the mountains of Virginia, where she likes to sample the local brew, eat fish and chips, and go for country walks with her matching gray dog and cat.
The Highlands Tunnel, Dara’s first book, is middle-grade fiction. She is currently seeking the publication of Eventide, which chronicles the pursuits of a rogue angel of death, whilst scribbling a third novel—a fictional memoir featuring Cousin Edgar.
